Despite the cancellation of classes today, a forum on the future of Bethlehem Central facilities will be held as scheduled tonight at 7 p.m. at the middle school.
The district is considering closing Clarksville Elementary School and/or the district offices in Delmar. Either measure would help administrators close a $4 million budget gap, but there are members of the Clarksville community opposed to any closure.
Additionally, today’s ice and snow conditions means students will have to report to class Friday, March 11, which is scheduled as a Superintendent’s Conference Day (when staff shows up for planning purposes).
Should there be any additional cancelations, those days would be taken out of spring vacation in April.
Tonight’s meeting will also be broadcast on the district’s web site, bcsd.k12.ny.us.
