Joseph Gutman, of Brookman Avenue in Delmar, had an interesting surprise when he was cleaning the snow off the roof of his home on Tuesday, Feb. 1. Apparently undisturbed by the falling snow was an owl perched on a light post underneath the overhang of his roof. Carol-Lisa Gutman, his wife, said she doesn’t think the owl is injured. Joseph said he has seen the owl move and thinks since it is a nocturnal animal that it is just sleeping during the day. The owl, which Joseph named Hooter, appears to be content on his residential perch.“
