Rotterdam police arrested Christina Pagano, 52, of Cedar Court, Schenectady for felony charges of grand larceny in the second degree and falsifying business records in the first degree on Monday, Jan. 10.
Rotterdam detectives and Golub Corporation officials conducted an investigation, which revealed Pagano, executive secretary for the corporate offices located in Rotterdam, stole over $300,000 over a 10-year period, said police. Golub employed Pagano for 34 years. The investigation started after an internal audit revealed misappropriation of funds with a company employee benefit program, which was maintained exclusively by Pagano.
Pagano was arraigned before Judge Kenneth Litz of Rotterdam Town Justice Court and she was released under the supervision of the Schenectady County Department of Probation until further court proceedings.`
