The town of Clifton Park is looking for contestants to participate in this year’s Clifton Park Idol, the major feature of the town’s annual WinterFest in February.
Only residents are eligible to participate and there are 15 spots open in two age categories. The first division is for residents aged six to 12 and the second is for residents 13-17.
Registration is through the mail or at Town Hall and includes submitting three song choices and a notice of parental consent, due by Jan.21.
Contestants receive confirmation from the Office of Parks, Recreation and Community Affairs by Jan. 28 and will be asked to bring a CD with music of the song or songs they wish to sing, to the actual event, held Feb.12.
First place winners of Clifton Park Idol will receive a $100 gift card to Clifton Park Center along with the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Clifton Park July 4th Celebration Concert.
