The Pueblo to the People Committee and St. Thomas the Apostle Church is inviting the community to observe and celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe Friday, Dec. 10.
There will be a special bilingual service at the church at 6:30 p.m., preceded by a serenade and a reenactment of the story of the miracle of Guadalupe at 6 p.m. The church is at 35 Adams Place.
Following the mass, revelers will gather at the St. Thomas school next door for a buffet meal and entertainment, including traditional song and dancing. There will be no charge for any part of the event, and people can bring food to share if they wish.
The vision of the Lady of Guadalupe in the 16th century is one of Mexico’s most celebrated miracles, and the anniversary of the appearance is celebrated by millions all over the world.`
