A dispute between two employees at the Taco Bell at 56 Wolf Road ended in one being stabbed on Oct. 17, according to the Colonie Police Department.
Kendall Jones, 42, of Albany got into a verbal confrontation with fellow coworker around 9:53 on Sunday, that led into a physical altercation. During the fight, Jones received a 3 inch laceration to his upper abdomen by his coworker.
It just sounded like they were on each other’s nerves, said Lt. Robert Winn.
The suspect, described as a light skinned, black male in his mid-20’s, at 5’11`, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, fled the scene of the incident before the police had arrived. Winn said there were other employees present when Jones was stabbed who alerted police of who the suspect is.
Winn said since they currently do not have a warrant for his arrest, the police department cannot yet release his name.
`After the stabbing, the other employees did tend to the victim as the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction,` said Winn.
Jones was transported by Colonie EMS to the Albany Medical Center where he is being treated from a non-life threatening knife wound.
`He’s still there,` said Winn. `He was admitted over night.`
