There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, Oct. 9, for Delmar optometrist Tom Little, who was killed in Afghanistan in August while acting as part of a ninternational medical team.
Little and nine others were shot while in transit in a remote part of the country, where they were providing eye care to rural, undeveloped villages. The service will honor Little’s life and his longtime commitment to help the people of Afghanistan, according to a press release.
The service is open to the public and will be held at 1 p.m. at Loudonville Community Church, 374 Loudon Road in Loudonville.
