The Guilderville girls swim team built a 20-point lead on its way to a 98-88 dual meet victory over Shaker Tuesday in Voorheesville.
The meet featured a rare first-place tie in the 50-yard freestyle, as sisters Kendall and Mackenzie Cietek each finished with times of 25.66 seconds for Guilderville. Mackenzie Cietek later won the 100-yard freestyle outright with a time of 57.19 seconds.
Jenna Bickel continued to post strong times for Guilderville. Bickel won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:11.79 and finished first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 57.84 seconds.
Nicole Das contributed a win in the 200-yard freestyle for Guilderville, which also took two of the three relays. Reynalyn Cancheta added a victory in the 100-yard butterfly.
Bailey Wind finished first in the 1-meter diving competition, and Talia Sternbach won the 100-yard breaststroke for Shaker.`
