Beginning in October, Saratoga County Public Health will be offering seasonal influenza clinics for Saratoga County residents, following New York State and Centers for Disease Control recommendations.
According to information from the county, it is likely that the 2009 H1N1 viruses and regular seasonal flu viruses will again cause illness in the U.S. this flu season and the 2010-11 flu vaccine will protect against three different flu viruses: an H3N2 virus, influenza B virus and the H1N1 virus that caused so much illness last year.
All clinics are by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling the telephone number listed below for the site where you would like to receive your flu shot. Individuals should bring their insurance cards to the clinic for determination of payment. Public Health will bill Medicare B for those over 65. All others will be charged $15. Other insurances will be billed whenever possible. If your insurance denies payment, you will be billed for this charge.
