State Police in Saratoga are investigating a one car rollover on I-87 North that sent two people to the hospital on Thursday, July 1.
Around 1 a.m., police reports say State Police responded to a once car rollover near Exit 15 in Saratoga Springs. There were three passengers in the vehicle: the driver, Fiona Goh, 20, of Lake George; Ruiteck Tan, 23, of Tulsa, Okla; and Carmelita Tan, 20, of Lake George. Police reports state that it appears Goh was fatigued and fell asleep while driving. The vehicle, which had been traveling north in the left lane, ran off into the median and struck the guide rail, then proceeded off the roadway and flipped over several times. Ruitek Tan was ejected and received numerous injuries and was med-flighted to Albany Medical Center, along with Carmelita Tan. according to reports. Police said both Tans are considered to be stable and not seriously injured at this time. No one was wearing seatbelts, according to police reports, and the investigation is ongoing.
