The Albany County Sheriff’s Office announced today the arrest of two fugitives in the Village of Ravena.
Police say an anonymous tip led to the arrest of William Haughwout, 43, and Cecelia Johnson, 55, both of Buffalo.
Haughwout had allegedly absconded from parole on an original charge of robbery in the first degree, and Johnson was being sought by Buffalo police for failing to appear to answer a charge of assault in the first degree.
The tip led police to Martin’s Hotel on State Route 9W in Ravena, where a surveillance positively identified both subjects, police said. They were arrested Monday, May 17, and remanded to the Albany County jail pending transfer. Johnson was turned over to Buffalo police late Monday.`
