The Town of Clifton Park announced it has made $1,000 available in grant money through its Community Arts and Culture Commission to give to local organizations and artists to support visual, media and literary arts in the town.
Eligible applicants must live in Clifton Park and display their work in town. Successful grant applicants should have a primary purpose of performing or displaying art work for the public and preserving the cultural identity of the town.
Applications will be accepted on a continual basis by June 1. One or more grants will be decided in June, subject to Town Board approval.
Examples of eligible projects include art exhibits, commissioned art work, recitals or concerts and public book readings or essay contests. Artists are expected to produce a dependable event or season of activities that is planned and publicized in advance to the public.
Grant applications are available at Town Hall in the Office of Parks, Recreation and Community Affairs or online at www.cliftonpark.org. Applications can be sent to the
