Joshua Arnold, 22, of 333 Main St. in Corinth, was arrested on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, announced Saratoga Springs City Police, Capital District Drug Task Force and the DEA. Police said they have not ruled out additional charges.
Police allege Arnold possessed various powders and liquids that are steroids and precursor elements, with the intent to manufacture and distribute steroids. Arnold was allegedly found with large amounts of stanozol, dromostanolone propionate, tren-bolone acetate and winistrinol, along with liquids and equipment used to manufacture, package and distribute steroids in the Capital District area and beyond, said Lt. Greg Veitch, who said police have estimated the steroids valued at about $100,000.
Veitch said city police first contacted Arnold on March 2 around 9 a.m. when he was pulled over for passing a stopped school bus on Maple Avenue. During the traffic stop, Officer Glen Barrett developed information that led police to a local motel room where Arnold had been staying. Following an investigation, a search warrant was executed the drugs and equipment were recovered.
Arnold was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail.
