Colonie police believe a robbery suspect from Thursday, Feb. 25, may have tried again at the Hannaford supermarket on Wolf Road.
Police are investigating a robbery at the Hannaford in Latham Farms, where the suspect allegedly got away with $3,000 in cash.
Another attempted robbery at the Hannaford on Wolf Road occurred on Tuesday, March 3, but police said no cash was taken.
A white male approached an employee at the Service Desk and handed over a note demanding money. The employee did not have access to the money and the suspect left the store on foot without getting any money, according to information from the police.
In both incidences police said there was no weapon mentioned.
Witnesses reported the suspect got in a pick-up truck and was seen heading north through the parking lot.
The suspect is described as a white male, in early to mid- 30s, close to six feet tall and 185 lbs. He had short hair and an unshaven face. He was wearing dark sunglasses and was last seen wearing a royal blue hooded sweatshirt, with pockets in the front and writing on the left-front of the shirt. He has on faded blue jeans with rolled up cuffs, black shoes and a black baseball cap with writing on the front.
His vehicle was described as a mid-size pick up truck with a `crew cab` that looks like `a newer Dodge Dakota.` It is light colored- white, grey or silver- and has a bed liner, according to police.
