A man arrested for stealing Xanax from a Rite Aid Pharmacy in Saratoga Springs in April, tried to do it again on Tuesday, Jan. 19, said Lt. Greg Veitch.
Around 5:30 p.m., Bradley Vandusen, 45, of Ballston Spa, entered the Rite Aid on 90 West Ave. and handed an employee a threatening note demanding Xanax. The employee recognized Vandusen as the person who robbed the same store in April and notified the manager, who refused to give Vandusen the drugs, said Veitch. Vandusen then left the store, followed by the manager, and was arrested by police after a short foot chase.
Vandusen was charged with Attempted Robbery in the Third Degree, a felony. He was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court Wednesday morning and remanded to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
During the April robbery, Vandusen did the same thing–handed an employee a threatening note demanding Xanax. That time, he made off with several hundred pills, most of which were recovered when he was caught and arrested.
