Colonie police are investigating a string of larcenies that took place between Saturday, Jan. 9 and Thursday, Jan. 14.
In all cases the victims were patronizing either hair salons, fitness centers or restaurants, according to information from the Colonie Police Department.
The cars windows are broken, and then wallets and purses in plain sight are taken, police said.
On Jan. 9 the victims cars were in Newton Plaza II, Loudon Road, D’Raymonds Restaurant parking lot, Osborne Road and the parking lot of Planet Fitness on Albany Shaker Road. On Wednesday, Jan. 13, there were larcenies at Fabio’s Italian Restaurant and Tri-City Fitness on Loudon Road.
Colonie police are asking that anyone who sees suspicious activity in parking lots or has any information regarding the larcenies call 783-2744.
