Northeastern Fine Jewelry will host a Cash for Gold event, giving a portion of their proceeds to support the City Mission of Schenectady, on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at their downtown location at 432 State St.
Members of the community who want to exchange their unwanted gold jewelry will have their items evaluated by a jeweler who will provide a cash offer to their unwanted goods and a deal for 15 percent off all purchases at the store on Dec. 5.
Northeastern Fine Jewelry will donate 15 percent of the valued gold pieces and 10 percent of the day’s sales to the City Mission of Schenectady, according to a press release.
`With the value of gold steadily increasing to new record levels each day, I encourage our customers to take advantage of this tremendous offer,` said owner of Northeastern Fire Jewelry in a statement. `Not only will they put a little cash back in their pockets for the start of the holiday season, but they will also contribute to the efforts of the City Mission to keep those less fortunate warm as we enter the cold winter months.`
