Albany County has scheduled two H1N1 flu vaccination clinics that will only be open to high-risk groups. Registration is required for both.
On Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cohoes Middle School on Bevan Street in Cohoes, the following groups may receive a free vaccination: persons aged four to 24; persons aged 24 to 64 who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for flu-related complications; persons four years and older who live with or provide care for infants under 6 months old; pregnant women; and health care and emergency medical services personnel.
800 doses will be available at this clinic.
On Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Albany County Department of Health, 175 Green St., Albany, infants and children aged six months through 47 months will be eligible to receive a free vaccine.
300 doses will be available at this clinic.
The clinics are by appointment only, and registration is online at www.albanycounty.com/health or by phone at 447-4505 weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
