The Bethlehem High School Science Department’s Science Today series will continue on Thursday, Nov. 19, with a presentation by Randy Morse, chief for the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at the state’s Wadsworth Center and professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at SUNY Albany.
Morse’s lecture is titled Lead to Gold? Reprogramming and stem cells, and it will discuss today’s work being done with stem cells and what the future may hold for the technology.
Morse is joined the Wadsworth Center`a state-run research laboratory`in 1993, when the center was studying gene expression. He’s now doing work with the New York Neural Stem Cell Institute to study the epigenetics of neural stem cells.
