The 2010 Clifton Park preliminary budget includes an extra $10,000 in grant money to the senior center and $80,000 to improve town facilities and services.
The $14.9 million spending plan is about $500,000 less than the adopted 2009 budget. The proposed grant this year for the senior center totals $150,672, up 9 percent over last year’s budget.
$40,000 was added for facility upgrades, including paving of the parking lot at the Burning Bush pool and clubhouse, and another $40,000 will be spent to repair the roof at the Mohawk Garage.
The 2010 budget also includes $50,000 to study extending a trail on Moe Road. Clifton Park will continue to have no town property tax and the highway tax will remains steady at $0.155 per thousand dollars of assessed value.
