Dylan Struffolino and Tony Larned each scored two goals to lead the Schalmont boys soccer team to a 6-0 victory over Cohoes Wednesday in a Colonial Council game in Rotterdam.
Zack Saccocio tallied early in the first half to get the Sabres (10-1 league, 10-3 overall) on the scoreboard. Struffolino followed shortly thereafter with the first of his two goals, and Larned added his first goal to put the game out of Cohoes’ reach.
Saccocio also had two assists, and Shawn Lai added a goal for Schalmont, which solidified its hold on the Colonial Council lead following Voorheesville’s 2-1 loss to Cobleskill-Richmondville Wednesday.
In other boys soccer action Wednesday, Scotia-Glenville suffered a 1-0 Foothills Council loss to South Glens Falls, and Duanesburg edged Schenectady Christian 1-0 in a Western Athletic Conference contest.`
