Students in the Bethlehem and Ravena school districts who are hoping to gain an experience abroad through the Rotary Club of Delmar’s Youth Exchange Program have until Friday, Oct. 23, to submit their applications.
Exchange students live with Rotary approved host families and attend high school in a variety of countries including: Japan, Turkey, France, Belgium, Brazil, Germany and many others. The club is also accepting applications for families interested in hosting students for three-month slots.
Thanks to the support of our local school districts and the community, the Rotary youth exchange program continues to flourish. Our club is thrilled to be hosting Kevin Kristian, a student from Indonesia attending Bethlehem Central High School, and to sponsor Gil Strizich, a 2009 BCHS graduate, who recently began his exchange experience in Argentina, said Ginger Landy, coordinator of the program for the club, in a statement.
High school students ages 16 to 18 are eligible to apply for the 2010-11 school year.
For more information and to receive an application, contact Landy at 439-4212 or [email protected] and visit www.rotary.org.
