The Albany International Airport is advising that travelers traveling during the upcoming holiday weekend arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to their departure.
In a written statement, the airport advised that, The 4th of July weekend and summer vacation traffic is expected to increase the waiting lines at ticket counters and the Airport security checkpoint.
Many people, the statement said, have become accustomed to a more quiet terminal given the economic slump, where lines at the checkpoints were much shorter.
If a passenger does not save at least 90 minutes, airport officials said, they may not have enough time to park, check their luggage, obtain boarding passes and pass through the security checkpoint before making it to their flight.
