Sousa was arrested on third degree criminal possession of stolen property (for a motor vehicle police said he had stolen), a felony, as well as making a punishable false written statement, a misdemeanor.
Both were arraoemd amd sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
This investigation was the collaboration of the Colonie Police Department, along with the Albany County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Department of Parole. Police ask that even though these individuals were arrested, residents should continue to be mindful to lock their motor vehicles and doors of their homes, leave outside lights on in the night and immediately report suspicious activity.
