Joseph M. DeFronzo. A Voorheesville resident since 1999, was unanimously elected as the new chair of the committee and comes with over 30 years of experience in government, politics and community service, according to a written statement from his office.
DeFronzo was formerly a Chair of the Republican Committee in Queens County. There he spearheaded countywide efforts for both state and citywide Republican seats in a traditionally Democratic County, according to the written statement.
`I love it here at the foot of the Helderbergs. This is a beautiful community; truly a jewel in the heart of New York State and a wonderful place to raise a family` DeFronzo stated. `I look forward to leading a rejuvenated Republican Committee into the future years to ensure that the town government officials meet the needs of our residents.`
