The Bethlehem Police Department announced they have arrested an Albany man for the robbery that occurred at the Delaware Plaza Key Bank, on Saturday, Oct. 11.
Police say James L. Eleby Jr., 40, of Wellington Avenue in Albany has been charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree grand larceny all felonies.
Eleby was located and taken into custody without incident in Queensbury after allegedly robbing the Key Bank at 164 Delaware Avenue in Delmar. He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
Eleby is scheduled to reappear in towncCourt on Friday, Oct. 17, at 8:30am for a Preliminary Hearing.
Police said that several local law enforcement agencies including the US Marshals Service; Albany Police Department; Troy Police Department; Guilderland Police Department; and State Police, as well as tips from the public assisted with this investigation.
