A plan to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Fuller Road has been postponed, according to Liesse Mohr of the advocacy group Neighbors Without Borders.
She said Commissioner Michael V. Franchini of Albany’s Public Works told the group on Tuesday, Sept. 30, that the project is on hold and probably will not begin until the Spring of 2010.
Neither the funding nor engineering is in place as expected for a Spring 2009 start, Mohr stated.
Plans to improve the county-controlled motorway, have been in the works for five years, said Franchini at a discussion on Thursday June 26.
The project will cost $4.9 million, according to information provided at that discussion.
