Milling and paving will begin on routes 443 and 335 (Elsmere Ave.) on July 7 and continue Monday through Friday until July 25, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
The paving will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day and will result in lane closures.
The DOT said commuters can expect to see sidewalk repairs and traffic loop installations completed by early August, and possibly earlier with cooperative weather.
The lane closures and paving project will cause some traffic delays on the busy Bethlehem thoroughfare.
Also in town, beginning on July 8, a portion of Elsmere Avenue will be closed between Kenwood Avenue and Maple Avenue due to sewer main break. That construction is expected to last three days and traffic will be rerouted around the construction area due to both lanes of traffic being closed.
