Elementary students from Craig now have a new, state of the art playground thanks to contributions from the community and the county legislature.
Students from Craig Elementary School in Niskayuna joined administrators and county officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday, June 6.
Chairwoman of the Schenectady County Legislature Susan Savage said the legislature gave $10,000 toward Craig’s new playground.
It is all a part of making this area attractive to families, Savage said.
The playground has new climbing equipment, a slide, a swing set and jungle gym.
It took Craig’s Playground Committee two years to raise the $110,000 it took to build the playground said committee co-chair Chris Brake. “
