Area police are on the lookout for a white male in his early 20s who walked into the Delaware Avenue, Delmar, Bank of America branch just before 2 p.m. demanding money and leaving the bank on foot. Security cameras reveal the man is about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a small mustache who headed south toward Adams Place.

The man walked into the bank and put a note on the counter demanding money, said Heffernan.
Area schools in Bethlehem, including Elsmere Elementary School and the Bethlehem Middle School were notified because of their close proximity and put on lockdown mode.
`We have a couple of witnesses who saw the suspect on feet running towards the area of St. Thomas School,` said Heffernan.
Heffernan said a search by police and K-9 dogs in the direction of St. Thomas School took place minutes after the call came into the department around 2 p.m. A helicopter also flew over the area.
Authorities did not know if anyone else was involved other than the one robber in the bank. The suspect left with an undetermined amount of money.
Police are currently combing the area for fingerprints and talking to neighboring business owners and employees to see if any suspicious activity occurred just before the crime.
