Would you like to become a Senior Center volunteer and help someone with Alzheimers or dementia express emotions and reconnect with loved ones through art? The Memories in the Making® program by the Alzheimer’s Association helps improve quality of life and can bridge the gap between patients, their loved ones and caregivers. Neighborhood Memory Cafe
Thursdays, March 10 and 24, 10:30 a.m. to noon

The challenges of living with memory loss can sever social connection at a time when it is needed most. Memory café gatherings are a way people with memory loss and their care companions come together to make new friends and support each other. On the second and fourth Thursday of the month, there will be a social hour; a relaxed informal atmosphere for everyone to mix and mingle. Grab a cup of coffee and make new friends who understand.

Free; open to the public. Light refreshments served. For more information, call 584-1621.
