What’s on your grill? Check out this steak rub that’s just as delicious as it is easy to make.
You can serve your steak straight up with your favorite steak sauce, or you can serve it on a salad – my personal favorite! I paired this seasoned steak with grilled asparagus, my grill-roasted sweet potatoes and a beet, goat cheese and pistachio salad.

Easy Steak Rub Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dry mustard
- ½ teaspoon white pepper
Instructions
- Stir the sea salt, onion powder, garlic powder, dry mustard and white pepper together. Generously coat one side of the steak with the rub; rub it in. Flip the steak over and rub the rest of the rub on that side of the steak. Put it on a plate, wrap it with plastic wrap and let it set in the fridge for two hours (or longer) until you are ready to grill.
- Grill the steak.
- Grilling time will depend on the type of steak, thickness and how you like your meat cooked; rare, medium rare or well done.
