TROY — The Spot518.com will present its second concert featuring The Plimsouls Re-Souled at The Hangar on The Hudson on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 3 p.m.
The original band, founded in 1978, is best known for its single “A Million Miles Away,” which was included on the “Valley Girl” soundtrack.
Referred to as “The Second Coming” of the iconic ’80s rock band, The Plimsouls Re-Souled, features its original guitarist, Eddie Munoz along with guitarist/vocalist Bryan Malone, bassist Jeff Walls, and drummer Rick West.
Troy garage punk/shock glam legends The Lawn Sausages will open the show.
Advance tickets are on sale now for $10 each online at thespot518.com/tickets, or in person at either The River Street Beat Shop (197 River St.) or The Ale House (675 River St.) in Troy. Tickets will also be available at the door for $15 each.

GRAFTON — Get everyone bundled up, pack the cross-country skis or snowshoes in the trunk and head up to Grafton Lakes State Park for a celebration of all things winter! The park’s 32nd annual Winter Fest is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. To 4 p.m.
This free event features a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy, including multiple guided outings, winter-themed contests for children, and law enforcement diving, rescue and K9 demonstrations.
Be sure to stop by Long Pond at 1 p.m. to cheer on this year’s Polar Plunge participants!
Snowshoe rentals will be available at the beach area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
