GLENMONT – National Bank of Coxsackie believes in supporting the communities it serves.
Its Glenmont branch is no exception. Since opening in 2014, the branch has sponsored youth league baseball teams, participated in the annual Battlefield & Beyond Parade, and worked with the Bethlehem Food Pantry.
“Every year, we close the office for half a day and go volunteer in the community,” said Assistant Vice President/Manager/Business Development Officer Jody Shaw. “Last year, we volunteered at the food pantry around Thanksgiving. We are looking to do that again this year.”
Overall, the National Bank of Coxsackie has been around for 168 years. It started in the Greene County village it’s named after in 1852, and has grown to include branches in Greenville, Ravena, West Coxsackie, Athens, Cairo, Middleburgh, and Glenmont.
“The [Glenmont] branch has been around for five years, but we’ve been a community bank for 168 years,” said Shaw.
To honor its history, National Bank of Coxsackie has special interest rates for two of its Certificates of Deposit (CDs). “We have a 19-month CD with a 1.68 percent interest rate, and we have a seven-month CD with a .68 percent interest rate,” said Shaw.
As with its seven other branches, National Bank of Coxsackie’s Glenmont branch develops strong relationships with its customers.
“We have an experienced staff of bankers. They have established one-on-one relationships with our customers,” said Shaw. “A number of our staff also live in the community.”
Besides its traditional in-branch banking services, National Bank of Coxsackie offers online and mobile app banking options.
“Customers can open accounts or apply for any type of loan online including Car loans and Mortgages,” said Shaw. “Even when they apply online, they will still be working with one of our bankers in their community.”
National Bank of Coxsackie’s Glenmont branch is located at 331 Route 9W. Branch hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. For more information, visit nbcoxsackie.com.
