ALBANY — A 30-year-old Latham man was arrested for robbing the Capital Bank on State Street.
According to Albany police, William Panten entered the bank at 132 State St. at around 2 p.m. on Monday, July 15 and demanded money from the teller.
The teller complied, and Panten fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported, and no weapon was displayed or implied during the robbery, according to Albany police.
After an investigation by Albany police, Panten was arrested on Wednesday, July 17.
He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court on charges of robbery and grand larceny and remanded to the Albany County jail.
