COLONIE — At the annual organizational meeting on Monday, Sept. 24, the town Democratic Committee elected George Penn as chair.
Also elected officers were First Vice Chair Kyle Simmons, Second Vice Chair, and former chair, Ellen Rosano, Secretary Pam Rowley and Treasurer Melissa Jeffers Von Dollen.
“I truly appreciate the unanimous support from my fellow committee members and their confidence in me,” said Chairman George Penn. “The Town of Colonie continues to be our region’s premier community, and our board is determined to work with all community members to ensure that our current and future Democratic elected leaders continue making the Town of Colonie a great place to live, work, and play.”
All board officers were unanimously elected.
“The Colonie Democratic Committee continues to be a leading example in Albany County, and I am excited to work closely with their new Board of Offices,” said Albany County Democratic Chairman Jack Flynn. “While other parties choose to divide and govern with hate, Democrats will continue to fight for equality for all, and I am proud to see that first hand here in Albany County and the Town of Colonie.”
