Author Talks: Baseball Double Header

A member of the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame, Jesse Braverman has coached baseball for many years.

Wanda Fischer began following the nation’s pastime when she wasn’t even 8 years old, when girls had few options to play sports and girls didn’t follow the game.

Braverman wrote “Comeback Coach,” a memoir about the challenges and rewards of his coaching years (he still coaches at LaSalle in Troy.) Fischer wrote a novel focusing on characters who were drafted to play minor league baseball in 1972 and the roadblocks they faced in trying to make it to the major leagues. Is truth stranger than fiction? You decide.

Registration is required for the 6 p.m. event: online or call 810-0314.

Registration is required and can be accomplished online at our webite or by calling 810-0314.
