TROY – The No. 7 seed Columbia High School kept its Cinderella season going by beating the No. 3 seed squad from Colonie at Joe Bruno Stadium on Thursday, May 24.
The Blue Devils scored six runs in the second inning and added two in the third and three in the fourth and fifth before a mercy rule was called after holding onto a 10-run lead – 14-4 – through five innings.
Columbia scored 14 runs on 10 hits while Colonie scored four on six hits.
Earlier in the week, Columbia eliminated the No. 2 seed Bethlehem.
