GUILDERLAND – The Bethlehem girls lacrosse team upset the Lady Dutch in the Class A semifinals on Monday, May 21, by a score of 14-3.
Bethlehem, the No. 3 seed, will now play the No. 1 seed Saratoga on Wednesday. Face off is slated for 4:30 a.m. at Mohonasen High School.
Against the No. 2 seed from Guilderland, the Eagles were led by Caroline Wise with five goals, Tessa Hughes with three goals and an assist and Lindsey Ayres, who had two goals and four assists.
Four Bethlehem players had a goal each: Avery Jones, Brynn Jones, Callan Powers and Katie Zito.
In goal, Liz Chiarella had 10 saves for Bethlehem.
Kadi Futia had two goals for Guilderland and Christine Fish added one. Alexa Dicaprio had two saves in goal.
