ALBANY — There’s a first time for everything.
“This is the first time we’ve played under an underpass,” said Sir Sly frontman Landon Jacobs. The City of Albany moved the last of its weekly Alive at Five concerts under the bridge to protect everyone from the summer rain that rolled through on Thursday, Aug. 2. The setting helped amplify an already loud set, making it a night to remember.
Albany’s The Late Shift started things off. Scotty Somerville and crew provided a lively set of original work and covers. The band had to work around Sir Sly’s unique stage arrangement, but there were no complaints from the band afterwards. Playing in front of a crowd of approximately 500 people will make everything good.
