MECHANICVILLE — The Colonie girls soccer season came to an end on Tuesday, Oct. 25, after losing in the Class AA semifinals to Shenendehowa by a score of 3-1.
Shen got on the board first on a goal by Emily Grace Silva. Sofia Sanzo tied it up early in the second half for the No. 3 seed Colonie before Shen scored two — Taylor Jourdanais and Lauren DeMura — unanswered.
Shen, the No. 2 seed, will square off against No. 1 seed Shaker on Saturday for the championship. That game is set for noon at Stillwater High School.
