Here is a look ahead to tonight’s Suburban Council boys basketball games:
Shenendehowa (11-2) at Albany (7-7) — After having its 53-game league winning streak snapped by Colonie Friday, Jan. 27, Shen will try to get back in the win column against a good Albany squad.
Colonie (12-3) at Burnt Hills (1-14) — Speaking of the Garnet Raiders, their next challenge is to avoid a trap loss against a Burnt Hills squad that is better than its record.
Mohonasen (4-11) at Bethlehem (13-2) — Likewise, Bethlehem needs to avoid being trapped by a scrappy Mohonasen team.
Shaker (11-4) at Troy (9-6) — Shaker’s Jake Cook is a monster inside, and Sloan Seymour can drain three-pointers all night. But, will that combo be enough to overcome Troy’s talented guards, led by Daniel Buie and Ryan Carmello?
Saratoga (9-5) at Schenectady (11-3) — Saratoga has Adam Anderson and AJ Lawton, but Schenectady has John Ryals, Tyrone Jenkins and the Pat Reilly Center crowd on its side.
Guilderland (8-7) at Ballston Spa (4-11) — Guilderland has been good enough this season to beat some quality teams (Shaker and Saratoga come to mind), but playing in Ballston Spa can be tough.
Niskayuna (3-12) at Christian Brothers Academy (4-11) — Niskayuna’s Jack Evans is coming off a 21-point performance against Bethlehem Friday in which he drained six threes. CBA will have to contain Evans if it has a shot at winning this game.
Columbia (1-13) at Averill Park (6-9) — Averill Park is trying to end a two-game losing streak. Columbia is just looking for a victory against a Suburban Council opponent (0-12 in league play).
