“The Boys in the Boat” by Daniel James Brown. It’s about the men’s crew team from the 1936 Olympics.
What are you watching on TV?
“Homeland,” “Falling Skies,” “Downton Abbey” and “CBS Sunday Morning.”
What was the last movie you saw?
“The Imitation Game.” It was a great movie. Benedict Cumberbatch was phenomenal.
Who is one person living or dead you would like to meet and why?
Robert Woodward because I’d like to talk to him about the challenges and trials they had to go through to break the news of Richard Nixon, and the courage they had to pursue the story.
Describe your dream vacation
In a sailboat sailing the Caribbean, which I’ve actually done before. We sailed the American and British Virgin Islands. I’m a sailor.
What is your favorite hobby?
Sailing and climbing the Adirondack High Peaks. I have 31 of the 46. Just did a three-day trip in late September with my son.
Describe what your last meal would be
Cafe Capriccio in Albany. Anything from there. Jim Rua’s been in business more than 30 years and everything is amazing.
What is your favorite local memory?
Sailing on Lake George with my wife and kids on Paradise Bay.
What three things would you bring with you to a desert island?
French wine, unread books, and my memories.
