Guilderland police on Sunday, July 14, around 9:20 p.m., received a call saying an erratic driver was traveling eastbound on Western Avenue from the McDonalds, which led police to an Albany woman’s home.
After matching up the vehicle description and registration from the civilian complaint, police discovered belonged to Kimberly M. Snyder, 49, of 9 Woodlake Road, Apt. 11, in Albany. Police arrived at her apartment approximately six minutes after receiving the call.
Police said the vehicle was parked in front of Building 9, Apartment 11, with Snyder’s driver’s license allegedly in plain view near the center console. Police knocked on her door and she answered. She allegedly was observed to have an odor of alcohol on her breath, impaired motor coordination, slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and a “confused demeanor.”
Snyder was asked to come outside by police and she was allegedly not cooperative initially with requests to perform standard field sobriety tests, but eventually performed the tests. Police said she had a BAC of 0.2 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit.
She was scheduled to appear in Guilderland Town Court on Thursday, July 25.
