Building 14 at the Rotterdam Corporate Park will soon house an industry leader in construction equipment.
The Galesi Group on Tuesday, May 29, announced ITR America has signed a lease for 43,000 square feet of space at the Rotterdam Corporate Park. The Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority owns the building and it’s master leased to the Galesi Group. Metroplex purchased the building to redevelop the 260,000-square-foot property.
“This new company is a great fit with our overall plans to revitalize Building 14 and continue to attract new tenants to the Rotterdam Corporate Park,” Metroplex Chair Ray Gillen said in a statement.
ITR America is one of the largest independent suppliers of parts for construction equipment in North America, said county officials. It is headquartered in Hobart, Ind., and it has distribution and service centers at 16 locations throughout the United States and Canada.
“Our new Rotterdam Corporate Park location will allow us to increase ITR products in the region and improve customer service to dealers located in the Northeast,” Brett Clemens, of ITR America, said in a statement. “ITR America has built a solid reputation with customers for providing overnight and next-day product availability, and our new Schenectady County distribution facility will help us provide exceptional customer service.”
David Buicko, chief operating officer of Galesi Group, welcomed the company and touted the facility as a premier destination.
“The company is a leader in the construction industry and their selection of Rotterdam is further evidence that this facility is one of the best logistics hubs in the Northeast,” Buicko said in a statement.
Rotterdam Corporate Park houses Railex, Fedex Freight, Price Chopper’s Frozen Foods Distribution Center, J&B Importers, Distribution Unlimited and other companies. The Rotterdam Corporate Park has more than 4 million square feet of space.
“This is a great addition to the Rotterdam Corporate Park,” Schenectady County Legislature Chairwoman Judy Dagostino said in a statement, “and we appreciate the ongoing efforts of the Galesi Group and our county economic development team to continue to attract new investment and new companies.”
