ALBANY — The county saw an increase of 27 new COVID-19 cases from Friday to Saturday — 11 of which are tied to UAlbany — bringing the total number to 2,921.
Of the new positive cases, 20 had close contact with positive cases, two reported out-of-state travel, and five did not have a clear source of infection at this time.
The number of people under mandatory quarantine dropped to 894 from 895. The five-day average for new daily positives has increased to 18.2 from 14.4.
There are 101 active cases in the county, up from 90 on Friday with 2,820 who tested positive and recovered.
The number of county residents currently hospitalized decreased to six from seven, and the hospitalization rate decreased to .2 percent from .24 percent. There are still no patients in the ICU and the county’s death toll remains at 134.
