Afrim’s Sports prides itself in being the leading indoor sports complex in the region — and is keeping that title by building another facility in the area.
The complex will be the fourth location for Afrim’s and will be located at 969 Watervliet Shaker Road in Colonie. The new facility will boast four new outdoor turf fields, as well as four indoor fields and a restaurant that will be open year round. Each current facility provides resources and a weather proof space for sports and exercise lovers alike to sweat it out.
“We would love to provide and help grow all sports in the community,” Rebecca Roth, Youth Programs Manager, said in regards to the new facility. “Whether it’s soccer, lacrosse, football, field hockey, softball, adults or youth, recreation or collegiate, we want to help everyone keep active and fit while providing state of the art facilities to do it in.”
Afrim’s is the king of convenience and sports. The organization offers three state-of-the-art facilities for the most tame and competitive sports located in Colonie, Latham, and Bethlehem. The three original facilities will still offer the same amazing service after the expansion.
“I think the reason that people keep coming back for more is because of our customer service,” Roth explained, “we strive to be the best and to do what’s right by our customers. We are also always trying to change and adapt to the needs of the community to be able to provide as many things as possible for kids as well as adults.’
The company’s ultimate goal is to help provide people with an outlet to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Afrim’s is a great alternative for those who do not like the environment or machines in a traditional gym.
“We believe that it is very important to help people maintain a healthy lifestyle no matter what the season,” Roth continued. “This is why we offer so many programs and offer the fitness center at the Colonie facility, so no matter what sport or level of play, there is something for everyone.”
