ALBANY – The Garnet Raiders flew in the Falcons Nest on Saturday, Sept. 23, and came away with its fourth win of the season in convincing 41-0 fashion.
Josh Kemp scored three touchdowns for the 3-0, 4-0 Colonie: a 10-yard run and a one-yard run in the first and then caught a 50-yard pass from Eddie Soto in the third.
Xavier Washington score twice, once from four yards out in the first quarter and then a 28-yard scamper in the third quarter.
Michael Barber scored from the one in the fourth but the game was already out of reach for the 0-3, 0-4 Albany High School Falcons.
Bryan Grimes had 104 of the team’s 300 rushing yards for Colonie and the stingy defense had three interceptions.
Next week, on Thursday, Sept. 28, Colonie will host cross town rival, undefeated Shaker and Albany will host CBA.
