ALBANY — The Beatles are coming back next year. Kinda.
The Fab Faux will perform next April 29, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the “Rhythm International” concert series at The Egg in Albany.
Unlike tribute bands who sport wigs and period costumes, The Fab Faux instead features some of New York’s top studio musicians playing songs rarely or never performed live by the Beatles. The ensemble will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the “Psychedelic Summer of Love” with songs from the 1967 albums “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Magical Mystery Tour” and other fan favorites accompanied by the Hogshead Horns and the Crème Tangerine Strings.
Tickets to the performance are $67, $49 and $39 and are currently available to members of The Egg and will go on sale to the public on August 16 at The Egg Box Office at the Empire State Plaza, by telephone (518) 473-1845 or online at http://www.theegg.org.
