State Police in Wilton arrested a Gansevoort man for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend in the head with a hammer and trying to strangle her with a computer chord, according to police reports.
Reginald Jarrett, 49, of Dimmick Road in Gansevoort, was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 7, and charged with assault in the first degree, strangulation in the second degree and unlawful imprisonment, all felonies, according to police reports. Jarrett was arrested following a weekend long investigation into a domestic incident that occurred on Friday, Aug. 5, in which Jarrett allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend and fled, according to police reports.
